Battery boxes are fitted with hinged lids and snap closures and are standard available in blue. Depending on the quantity, other colours are possible as well as personalized markings.
For the separate collection of the different types of batteries, Engels supplies battery boxes to both large waste collectors and individuals. Engels distinguishes 4 variants: regular and rechargeable alkaline batteries, lithium batteries (eg button cells) and last but not least lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries rechargeable are used in more and more devices. Think of electric bicycles, mobile phones and even cars.
An important aspect to consider when collecting lithium-ion batteries is safety. Lithium-ion batteries can ignite if they are damaged, come into contact with water, or are exposed to excessive heat. These fires can hold on for hours if not properly extinguished. Especially for this purpose we developed a strong bassin which can be filled with water where the battery can lay untill it is fully extinguished.
