Engels has been involved in waste separation for three decades. For example, we have already delivered millions of environmental boxes, paper baskets and wheelie bins to countries throughout Europe. With this knowledge, Engels introduced its product line of underground and semi-underground waste containers in 2005.

Over the years, many more high-rise buildings have been built, which has resulted in a shift in waste collection. The emphasis has shifted from collection to delivery systems. It has become common practice, especially in apartment complexes, that waste is collected centrally. Therefore, underground waste containers and semi-underground containers are often chosen.

Advantages

Underground waste containers have a number of significant advantages over waste collection with the well-known 2- and 4-wheel containers.

  • First of all, the volume is considerably larger (up to 5000 litres), which means that savings can be made on emptying costs.
  • It is also a solution that takes up very little space and is therefore ideal in urban areas, for example.
  • The steel construction also makes underground waste collection extremely fire-safe.

Waste containers Apyra | underground container

The Apyra waste containers are modular with various throw-in columns and front panel colours. The Apyra can be equipped with the common lifting systems, single hook, double hook, three hook and Kinshofer. With the EN13071 approval you know that you are in good hands with safety.

The underground waste container Apyra is a modular system that is constructed from a wide range of basic components. These components consist of:

  • concrete pits
  • safety systems
  • lifting systems
  • deposit valves
  • waste fractions
  • container with different volumes
  • software / registration systems
  • customer-specific options
  • Access control

If desired, the Apyra can also be supplied with access control, so that only users with an access pass, such as residents of a building or area, can use the waste facility or DifTar (differentiated tariff calculation).

Underground compactor containers

The capacity of existing underground containers is increasingly insufficient. With underground press containers, this capacity can be increased enormously, without taking up more space. With the Logipers the waste is compacted, but in use it is the same as a normal underground container.

If you are going for a completely environmentally friendly approach, we have an underground solar-powered compactor. All electronics are then supplied with power by a column with a solar panel that is placed near the press. You can also choose to have only the display panel for the access control work on solar energy.

With our extensive services in the field of underground containers, such as management and maintenance, a container management system, access control and communication, we cordially invite you to contact our experienced team.
