Engels has a several hundred customers among meat and fish processing companies. We supply various logistical supplies for the distribution, sorting, quality management and shipment of processed fresh products from slaughterhouses to the customer. In addition to standard crates, pallets and pallet boxes, we also supply custom made cutting tables, racks, tubs and tanks for curing and mixing spices.
Meat processing companies work with a standardized transport container; the E2 crate. In addition to the standard E2 crate, Engels also provides a stack/nestable variant and adapts to developments to new (standard) products, such as the E-Performance crate.
- Standard Euro meat crates are easy to stack because the upper edge is conductive. The open walls and handles ensure a good air circulation. Water or condensation can not remain on the edge.
- Stack-nestable meat crates provide the same benefits and are compatible with the standard “E” bins. The straight inner walls prevent content loss
- E-performance Euro meat crates are made out of light blue polyethylene, with an exact specified colour. This way the use of non-virgin (not guaranteed food safe) plastic is almost excluded.
The plastic pallets in the pool systems of meat processing companies have also been standardized; the H-series pallets. H1 pallets can be used from -40C 'to + 70C', last a life time, are easy to clean and are suitable for automated systems. The H-series pallets have a central cross as standard for an exact and solid positioning of the E crates.
Large volume bins and pallet boxes
Hygiene large-volume trays are often used as a brine tank, for example for salting hams. The tanks are filled with a mixture of salt and water, in which the hams are dipped and held in place by a dip plate. Pallet boxes have a high load capacity and volume and therefor ideal for the hygienic storage of large pieces of meat or fish on ice.
Other specials for the meat processing industry include our transport rollers, both in the standard euro standard dimensions 600x400 and 800x600 mm and in deviant sizes for barrels or tubs. Always made from virtually indestructible PE plastic and stainless steel rollers.
