Large volume containers
Large volume containers or plastic pallet boxes are ideal for bulk storage or the internal transport of products. These large plastic containers are made of a strong, food-safe, frost- and chemical-resistant and impact-resistant plastic. The large volume container is completely closed and has reinforced bottom and side walls. The inner walls are smooth and therefore hygienic and easy to clean. The height and space between the feet is spacious enough for handling with a forklift.
Large volume hygiene bins are used for bulk storage in the food industry and various other industries. Hygienic large volume containers are distinguished by their stainless steel edge reinforcements and smooth walls with spacious, rounded corners.
Pallet boxes: volume and load capacity
Popular for their large volume and strong construction. You will find our pallet boxes both in assemblies for the storage of heavy materials and at vegetable and fruit growers for the transport of large quantities of loose products.
Depending on their size, the Engels pallet boxes can carry up to five tons in the stack and up to 800 kilos in the rack. Stacking higher requires less floor space. Engels offers different versions of pallet boxes; there are three bottom versions and four sidewall verions to choose from:
- four legs: for the agri-industry (the content may protrude above the box)
- two skids: better stacking, also suitable for roller conveyors
- three skids: industrial use, heavy duty
Four sidewall versions:
- flat sidewall on the inside, for industrial use, foldable or in one piece.
- bulging sidewall, for maximum capacity when the pallet boxes are filled with bulk material. Also foldable or in one piece.
Space-saving pallet boxes for distribution
As an alternative to our one-piece pallet boxes, we also supply a wide range of foldable pallet boxes. A big advantage of this is that they are space-saving, both for internal storage and for return transport. Foldable pallet boxes are available in a robust industrial version for the automotive industry and a heavy-duty hygiene version.
Custom-made pallet boxes
Our assembly department has extensive expertise in the field of milling, sawing, welding, gluing and stapling various types of plastic. We have the production facilities, materials and resources to supply custom pallet boxes with deviating heights, lengths and insertion openings even when purchasing a few units.
Using an industrial mirror welding machine, we weld pallet boxes together in length, up to 4 meters long and in height, more than 2 meters high. As a result, we make extra large pallet boxes, which can never be realized using normal injection moulding. And just as strong as pallet boxes produced from one piece.
